MediaTek has officially set the launch date for the Dimensity 9400+ on April 11, coinciding with the company’s Dimensity Developer Conference in Shenzhen, China. This event will serve as the platform for the chipset’s grand unveiling. The Dimensity 9400+ uses the same core architecture as its predecessor, albeit with a performance bump. The new top Cortex-X925 core is still expected to hit 3.7GHz, up from the previous 3.62GHz of the Dimensity 9400.

The chipset will also include three Cortex-X4 cores operating at 3.30GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.4GHz, upping the base frequency from 2.0GHz. GPU-wise, everything stays the same, using the ARM Immortalis G925 MP12. These specifications were confirmed when this chipset surfaced on Geekbench. It scored 2,770 in single-core and 8,500 in multi-core tests, a 6% increase in single-core performance and a 5% upgrade in multi-core performance over the Dimensity 9400’s respective scores, 2,605 and 8,078, according to NotebookCheck.

After its official announcement, several smartphone brands are prepping to introduce devices packing the Dimensity 9400+. A leaked roster indicates that Oppo’s Find X8S and Find X8S+, Vivo’s X200S, iQOO Neo 10S Pro, Realme’s GT series flagship, OnePlus Ace 5S, and Redmi K80 Ultra will all come with the new chip. Among these, Oppo’s Find X8S series and Vivo X200S are expected to debut in China in April, with the iQOO Neo 10S likely arriving in May.

Realme, OnePlus, and Redmi are also set to introduce their devices in the first half of the year. Additionally, Xiaomi is rumored to be working on the Xiaomi 15T Pro, which could launch globally a few months later. If the company follows last year’s pattern—where the Xiaomi 14T Pro featured the Dimensity 9300+—the 15T Pro is also expected to adopt the Dimensity 9400+.
