It’s McDonald’s 50th anniversary in Australia and to celebrate it, they made a celebration announcement last week. The event includes a week of streams and giveaway prizes of McDonald’s customised DualSense controller. No doubt, the themed PS5 controller looks delicious and attractive. You can see the attached image.

Though the custom design becomes popular in that short time period, Sony has cancelled it.

The anniversary event was scheduled to start on 1st August, but it is postponed with no further date.

McDonald’s confirmed in a statement that the stream event on their anniversary had been postponed and there is no confirmed date for now. Besides, the declared prizes for the celebration was also changed.

The exact reason behind Sony’s step is not confirmed yet. It seems Sony is very strict about the custom PS5 controllers from the release of the PlayStation 5 in November 2020.

Overall, the entire situation indicates, Australians won’t get that delicious looking custom PS5 DualSense Controller in the future. And it will definitely affact others who has plans for custom controllers.
