Borussia Dortmund have agreed a deal with Hoffenheim to sign Maximilian Beier on a permanent transfer. The striker is set to make the move for a fee worth €30 million including add-ons.
Personal terms have already been agreed between the player and Dortmund, with a contract till 2029 to be signed once he completes his medical this week. Serhou Guirassy will likely replace Niclas Fullkrug in the squad, who left to sign for West Ham United earlier in the transfer window. The former Stuttgart striker earlier completed his transfer to Dortmund. Beier, on the other hand, could be replacing someone else.

Beier has been with Hoffenheim since 2018, when he joined their U17 team. He eventually worked his way up to the senior team, and had a brilliant season in 23-24, scoring 16 goals and providing three assists in 33 games.
With Youssoufa Moukoko also leaving the club for Marseille, Maximilian Beier could be replacing the young striker at the club. He has only just started to make his mark in the Bundesliga, and fits perfectly into Dortmund’s preferred profile of signing young players and turning them into world class stars.
Dortmund have made some decisive moves in the transfer window this year, and it’ll be interesting to see if they can challenge for the Bundesliga under Nuri Sahin.
Has Beier played for Germany?
Yes, two caps.
