Cunha was signed by Atletico Madrid for €30 million in 2021, but he hasn’t been able to make an impact with Diego Simeone’s team. The Brazilian has made 17 appearances for the Rojiblancos this year, but has not been able to find the back of the net even once.

As a result, he is not in the plans of the manager and the club have decided to let him go. Matheus Cunha is expected to solve the problems of the Midlands club, who have failed to get goals out of Diego Costa and Raul Jimenez.

Sasa Kalajdzic was injured in his very first appearance for the Premier League club. And now, it remains to be seen whether their goalscoring options can be relieved with the arrival of the Atletico Madrid striker.
