Disney + Hotstar just dropped the trailer of the psychological thriller series, ‘Masoom’. Boman Irani is going to make his digital debut with Disney + Hotstar show. We will see him alongside Samara Tijori. Mihir Desai’s directorial show has been adapted from the Irish series, Blood.
The story of the show is based on the quest of the daughter to expose the truth while her mother dies. However, she just has no such idea whom to trust as her family desires to hide the truth under the curtain of love and protection. The new trailer of Masoom has promised to be a mind-blowing psychological thriller.
Masoom: Plot
The series mainly revolves around family bondings and deception after just losing a loved one. The story is mainly set in Faluli, Punjab, and Masoom which reveals much of the unspoken truths that are like a cloud in the lives of the Kapoor family. It reveals such complex relationship dynamics that will update with time and ambition.
While a 21- year-old Sana Kapoor gets the news of the mysterious death of her bedridden mother, at the moment she just decides to drive down on her estranged family in Punjab. After her arrival, uneasiness greets her as her father, brother, and the entire family seems like hiding the secrets that just fuel her doubts.
After the most loved father-child relationship of Sana with her father converts into a love-hate relationship as the father saying her to leave the home earlier as the rituals are over. He just wants to stop her from digging up the dirt in the family. In this time Samara Tijori showcases another side of the coin of the complex father-daughter relationship. As we have expected Boman Irani is playing the role of the serious father.
Masoom: Cast
The series Masoom has directed by Mihir Desai and Gurmeet Singh is the showrunner. The series has been produced under the Dreamers & Doers Co. Banner, there is a premium content studio owned by Reliance Entertainment. In the lead cast, we will see Manjari Fadnis, Veer Rajwant Singh, Upasana Singh, Manurishi Chaddha, and more. The series contains a soulful soundtrack composed by the popular Anand Bhaskar Collective.
Samara Tijori said, “Masoom, I play a young girl who is on a quest to uncover the truth when everyone around her wishes to leave it buried. Getting to play this role as my ion screen father was a great learning experience. As a whole working with a cast and crew that had so much experience, I grew as a performer and a person. It has been fascinating acting alongside fresh talent just like Samara and the extremely talented crew. The six-episode phycological series will drop on 17th June 2022.
