During that time, the studio claimed it was still in its initial stages but since then fans have become more and more anxious waiting for information on GTA VI.

According to leaker Kurakasis, this may be about ready to change soon as Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac will apparently finally show itself. There is no confirmation on where the reveal will take place either at The Game Awards or another event but it will likely happen before 2021 ends, supporting a possible release sometime in 2025.
You might recall that Insomniac Games experienced a significant hack in December 2023, resulting in a substantial leak of data related to various projects, including Wolverine. It remains uncertain if this incident caused any delays for the game.
