Terrier has spent three years with Rennes, after joining them from Lyon in 2020. The move to Leverkusen is his first transfer out of France, and it could take some time for him to adapt to his new surroundings.
The 27-year-old primarily plays as a left winger, but can be used across the frontline. And that versatility might have been the deciding factor which prompted Alonso’s team to sign him.
Martin Terrier will be wearing the number 11 shirt at Leverkusen. Moreover, Rennes could also lose Desire Doue this summer, with the teenager attracting interest from several top European clubs.
