Arsenal are planning to offer Martin Odegaard a new deal soon, following his remarkable performance this season. The club captain has scored 15 goals and provided eight assists in 36 Premier League games, and led the team to an ambitious title challenge.

The 24-year-old has shined since arriving from Real Madrid, and has now become one of the best midfielders in the English top flight. His current deal expires in 2025, but Arsenal have the option of extending it to 2026.

Martin Odegaard to be offered new contract by Arsenal soon

The Norwegian is expected to be a key part of their project going forward. He has matured brilliantly from his time at Real Madrid. At the Spanish capital, he struggled with injuries and competition, but was able to become the youngest to ever play for Los Blancos.

In January 2021, Martin Odegaard signed for Arsenal on loan which was eventually turned into a permanent deal that summer. Since then, he has managed to establish himself as one of the top performers in the team, and was rewarded with the captain’s armband. Now, Odegaard also leads the Norway national team, having made 49 appearances for his country so far.

Arsenal recently extended the contracts of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, both of whom have been the leading goalscorers for the team. And Odegaard will soon follow them with a new deal on new terms.
