PSG skipper Marquinhos has extended his contract with the club until 2028, as officially confirmed by the club. He has been with the French side since 2013, when he was 19 years old, and has become one of the most integral members of the first team now.
The defender has played 405 games during his decade with PSG, and has won 26 trophies with them. The Champions League, however, has continued to elude them. The closest they came to winning European silverware was in 2020, when they finished as runners-up against Bayern Munich.

“I am delighted to sign a contract extension, but also very proud,” said Marquinhos in a statement on the official PSG website.
“This is a very special moment for me. Paris Saint-Germain has always shown confidence in me, and I also have a lot of confidence in this club.
“I am convinced that we will continue to achieve great things together in the years to come.”
The coming summer transfer window will be an interesting one for the French giants. Lionel Messi is expected to leave the club, while the future of Neymar is also uncertain. Reinforcements are expected for the first time, while replacements for their departing forwards are also in the works.
