Mario Balotelli is on the move to yet another club – the 11th of his career so far. The former Inter Milan and Manchester City striker will now be joining Swiss Super League side FC Sion.
A medical has been scheduled for today, and needs to be passed by the player in order for the transfer to go through. He joined Turkish club Adana Demirspor on a three-year deal only one year ago. But, following a recent bust-up with manager Vincenzo Montella, things seem to be over for the striker at Demirspor.
Mario Balotelli to join FC Sion soon
Despite a win over Umraniye in their recent fixture, Mario Balotelli and his manager were at blows during full-time. Montella refused to elaborate on the situation but only claimed that the forward had fallen short of expectations during his time in Turkey.
A full agreement is in place for the Italian to make the move, and it will soon be announced by the clubs involved as well. He has had a resurgence so far in the Turkish league, scoring 19 goals last season, his second-highest return in a season after the 24 he netted for Nice in 2017-18.
Over the course of his career, he has been involved in several such fallouts which have affected his life on the pitch as well.
