Marcus Rashford continued his remarkable scoring streak with a goal against [Barcelona](https://technosports.co.in/barcelona-paid-e1-4-million-to-vp-of-technical/) in the Europa League. The match ended 2-2 with Raphinha scoring the second goal to equalise with Manchester United ahead of the second leg.

The Englishman has outscored every other player in Europe since the World Cup, and is the most in-form man in the Premier League right now. His goal against Barcelona came from a very tight angle, but the speed and conviction behind the ball was enough to beat Ter Stegen on his near post to make it 1-1.

## Marcus Rashford equals 2019/20 scoring record

The forward has now scored 22 goals across all competitions, which is his best return since 19/20 when he also scored the same number of goals. But the season is far from over, and he can significantly add to that tally if he continues to keep up the momentum that he is showing right now.

Marcus Rashford has also provided [eight assists across all competitions](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1626296895491514368?s=20) this season, and has emerged as the complete forward that he had the potential to be.

Erik Ten Hag has managed to get the best out of the player, who was seemingly lost in previous years. Now, he is arguably Manchester United’s most important and effective player, and the club is keen to tie him down with a new contract in the works.

With his goal against Barcelona at Camp Nou, he has joined Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole as the only two United players to have scored at the stadium. And next week, he could help them eliminate one of the biggest clubs in the continent from the Europa League.
