Marco Verratti is close to joining Al Hilal from PSG, having accepted a three-year contract with the Saudi Arabian club to make the move. The two clubs are in talks for the move to go through, with negotiations now in the closing stages. And an agreement looks set to be reached very soon for the Italian.Â
If the transfer does go through, he would be joining Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Malcom at the club, who have already joined this summer.
Marco Verratti expected to sign for Al Hilal this summerÂ
The 30-year-old looks set to leave only one year after signing a four-year contract extension with PSG. There have been rumours that the player could cost Al Hilal €100 million, but no confirmation has been presented about the final price being discussed as of yet.
The midfielder had been linked with a move to Manchester City and Atletico Madrid as well, but Al Hilal have surged ahead in negotiations. And now, he could end his eleven-year spell with the club, having joined them in 2012 from Pescara in his native Italy.
PSG have signed numerous midfielders to reinforce their squad such as Kang-in Lee and Manuel Ugarte this summer. They also have a number of pre-existing options who could compensate for the loss of the Italian. And it seems like we could be seeing a change of guard in the club’s midfield very soon.
