Marcel Sabitzer is currently on loan at Manchester United from Bayern Munich, and is enjoying life at his new club. As things stand, the midfielder wants to continue at the club beyond the current season. But, his loan does not include an option to buy since it was a straight loan deal.

His chapter with Bayern Munich was over, given that Julian Nagelsmann was in charge. But, with the former RB Leipzig coach replaced by Thomas Tuchel, things could take a new turn for him. There is an opportunity for him to return under Tuchel, but it remains to be seen whether he will be a part of their project.

In the absence of Christian Eriksen due to injury, Sabitzer has stepped up several times for the team. However, a regular starting role in the side has eluded him since he has only made eight appearances in the Premier League since joining the club.

“Of course my thoughts are on Man United, especially with the trust I get from Erik ten Hag – it’s very positive,” Marcel Sabitzer told Bild.

“I found my place here. Now I know the Premier League and can say there’s nothing better.”

United will be on the hunt for a new midfielder in the summer anyway, and talks will take place during the transfer window as to whether that will be Sabitzer. Thomas Tuchel’s position on the player will also be important in deciding his future.
