## Crossing Over Into Bollywood and Beyond

Addinath expanded his footprint into Hindi cinema with a memorable turn as cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar in the 2021 sports drama 83. He’s now part of one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious upcoming projects — Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part epic Ramayana, starring alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. Addinath will play Bharat, a role he’s described as “life-transforming” and “humbling,” further cementing his rise from Marathi cinema to a pan-Indian spotlight, in a career detailed further on his [Wikipedia page](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adinath_Kothare).

## A Personal Chapter Closes

Alongside his career milestones, Addinath and Urmila Kanetkar — who first met on the sets of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan in 2006 and married in 2011 — announced their separation after nearly 15 years together. In a joint statement, the couple emphasized mutual respect and a continued commitment to co-parenting their daughter, Jizah, while requesting privacy during this transition.
