Manchester United are one of the best clubs in the history of Football and have made successfully quite a lot of historic signings. The most expensive ones being listed below:

1) Paul Pogba

Manchester United signed Paul Pogba from Juventus back in 2016 for a previous transfer record of €105million, however, it is not what Manchester United would have expected from the French midfielder.

The French midfielder had quite a bit of a mixed time in his stay at Old Trafford, moreover in his 199 appearances has scored 38 goals in the process.

2) Harry Maguire

Manchester United captain and English international Harry Maguire signed for Manchester United back in 2019 for a massive price tag of €87 million. In the beginning, Harry Maguire wasn’t living up to his price tag however he has proved himself and is now a key part of the Red Devils defense.

Manchester United had been chasing Jadon Sancho for over two years and now have finally signed him for a massive €85 million price tag. Jadon Sancho has proved himself in the Bundesliga and proved to be one of the best young players in the world.

4) Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku is currently one of the best strikers in the world and Manchester United had signed him from Everton for €84.7 million, however, things were not always like that for the Belgian striker back in his time during his stay at Old Trafford with the Red Devils. In his time at Manchester United, he has scored 42 goals in 96 appearances.

5) Angel Di Maria

Angel Di Maria has been one of the most prolific wingers in the 21st century and has made quite an impact in every club he has been to but it wasn’t quite like that when he signed for Manchester United for €75 million.

In his sole season with the Red Devils, he made 32 appearances and scored four goals in the process.
