Atletico Madrid have refused Manchester United‘s interest in Joao Felix recently, with the Premier League club interested in signing the Portuguese forward.
The Rojiblancos have told United that the player is not for sale, and that they won’t accept a €50 million bid for Matheus Cunha either. The message has been sent to the club’s sporting director John Murtough, with a deal looking very unlikely as of right now.
Joao Felix staying at Atletico Madrid for 22/23
The 22-year-old had a remarkable performance in the La Liga opener this season. He had a hat-trick of assists for Alvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann as Atletico Madrid picked up a 3-0 win against Getafe.
Manchester United reportedly submitted a bid worth €130 million for Joao Felix today. However, having signed him three years ago for a similar amount, Atleti are keen to get the best out of him before letting him leave. As a result, they have outright rejected the advances of the Premier League club.
Manchester United are now planning to splash the cash in the transfer market. They have offered Casemiro double his current salary at Real Madrid to join the English club. They are also planning to sign Christian Pulisic from Chelsea, Yann Sommer, and Illan Meslier too. With only a fortnight remaining in the transfer window, it seems like United are getting desperate to sign players to bolster the squad.
