Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly has only three more games to try and save his job as manager of Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail. The Norwegian was humbled in the 5-0 defeat against Liverpool at Old Trafford, and there have been increasing calls for Manchester United to replace the former striker as the head coach of the club.

United’s next three games are against Tottenham and Manchester City in the Premier League, and Atalanta in the Champions League. The three games will be extremely difficult for the club to win since the opposition is very good, but Solskjaer needs to find a way to get the victory if he is to save his job.

Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been rumoured as a potential replacement for Solskjaer should he be replaced. According to renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Italian would be open to discussions if Manchester United contact him about the job.

The Manchester United board has been backing and protecting Solskjaer ever since the beginning of his tenure. He has come close to winning silverware with United, especially last season in the Europa League final, but ultimately came up short. They are currently eight points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea, and are out of the EFL Cup.

Romano also reports that Manchester United will have a meeting soon to decide the future of Solskjaer. The conversations about his future are still on, and no final confirmation has yet been received about his future at Manchester United.
