Manchester United are expected to undergo a massive clearout this summer, with fringe players likely to be sold. Loan players Alex Telles and Eric Bailly will also be offloaded permanently once they return from their respective loan spells.

Bailly was loaned out to Marseille at the start of last season, while Telles went to Sevilla. The Brazilian has had a fine spell in Spain, making 32 appearances across all competitions and providing three assists. However, Sevilla are not looking to make his signing permanent.

Manchester United to sell Alex Tells and Eric Bailly this summer

Bailly is out of a contract with United next summer, and this will be the last opportunity that the club will have to sell him for a fee. Otherwise, he could depart for no transfer fees once his contract expires next summer.

Erik Ten Hag is expected to demand high quality centre-back signings from the board this summer. Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly are all set to be offloaded in order to make room for the new players.

Bailly’s time at Manchester United was plagued by injuries and inconsistent form. Even with Marseille, he has only managed to start four Ligue 1 games. Meaning there is a slim chance that he will be staying with them next season.

The pair aren’t the only ones that will be sold, with several other first team players also on the chopping block.
