Last week, Manchester United interviewed Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag for a role at the club next season. The interview went well, with both parties happy with the initial impressions.
However, all the details have not been finalised yet and Manchester United are looking at other candidates for the permanent position as well. Among the names being considered for the role are PSG’s Mauricio Pochettino, and Sevilla’s Julen Lopetegui.
Erik Ten Hag receives offers from two more clubs after Manchester United interview
According to several reports, Erik Ten Hag has received offers from two more European clubs for a managerial role next summer. He hasn’t accepted anything from any club just yet, but it is expected that he will be leaving Ajax at the end of the season.
While most of the players are expected to remain committed to the club no matter who comes in, the future of Donny van de Beek will rely on who the new manager is. The Dutch midfielder is on loan at Everton, and will be returning at the end of the season.
He has a good relationship with Erik Ten Hag from their time at Ajax. But, he would need to understand his role in the squad and whether or not he will get regular playing time in the first team. If he is restricted to the bench, then there is a strong chance that Van de Beek could ask to leave the club.
