Manchester United continue to make changes behind the scenes with the recent appointment of Sam Erith. He has joined as the performance director for the club and will be tasked with creating a positive environment for Erik Ten Hag’s side which can encourage them to stay competitive throughout the season.
Erith has previously worked with Manchester City for over 11 years as the head of sports science while spending six years at Spurs in a similar role. He most recently worked in the USA with Madison Square Garden Sports and will now return to England.

Erith has been signed on till the end of the season, and is regarded as an industry leader. His arrival is particularly important given United’s terrible run with injuries since the arrival of Erik Ten Hag.
With players piling up on the sidelines yet again, bringing in an expert in the field could help the medical team tweak their strategies to turn things around.
Sam Erith also worked with the English FA from 2016 to 2017 as a performance coach working with Gareth Southgate. And now, he will be at Manchester United for the foreseeable future as they continue to rebuild under INEOS.
What was United’s latest result?
3-0 loss to Liverpool at home.
