The transfer window is going to open in the next few days again. Manchester United are already planning to fill the gaps in the team.
As per the recent reports, Manchester United is keeping an eye on ex Tottenham Hotspur star Kieran Trippier.
Trippier joined Atletico Madrid in 2019 from Tottenham Hotspur in a £20m deal. The 30-year-old English right-back has established himself as a regular member of Atletico’s starting XI. He has played in all 10 matches for Atletico Madrid this season as Diego Simeone’s side is unbeaten in the league till now this season.
According to reports from the Daily Telegraph, via Mundo Deportivo, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is considering a move for the right-back. Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan Bissaka has done an excellent job for the Red Devils since his joining in 2019. He is excellent defensively but lacks quality in attack. Kieron Trippier can provide this as well.
Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer always said that Manchester United needs quality in the reserve bench as well if they want their glory days back. Manchester United chief Ed Woodward is also happy with the plan of Ole.
In a recent interview, he said, “Of course, we recognize there’s more hard work ahead to achieve the consistency needed to win trophies. But we see positive signs on the pitch and the training ground that reinforce our belief in the progress being made by Ole, his coaching team, and the players.” He also confirmed Manchester United will spend this January as well.
