Manchester United is now considering to offer Marcus Rashford a new long term deal with a hike in wage in the new year.
Marcus Rashford’s deal with Manchester United will end in July 2023 with an option to extend for another year. But the Red Devils want to keep the English striker for a long future.
Marcus Rashford joined Manchester United youth academy in 2005. In 2015, under Louis Van Gal, he made his senior team debut. In his 234 games for Manchester United, he has scored 79 goals.
Recently in an interview, he revealed his love for Manchester United as well. The Manchester-born and bred, Marcus Rashford said, “For me, I never look beyond Manchester United. As a kid I’ve never looked beyond Manchester United in my mind, it wouldn’t sit right for me to be pulling on another shirt.”
“All the good things that have happened this year it’s come from Manchester United giving me the opportunity as a kid,” he added.
“I don’t just remember the last year or the last five years, I’m talking about the times when nobody in my family drove and I had to get to training, and United had people to come and take me to the training ground and take me back home.”
“I just want to do the best I can for the club whilst I’m here, so hopefully I’m here for the long term.”
Rashford’s brace against Sheffield United helped United to make another comeback in away games in the league this season. United will face Leeds United tonight in the old historical ‘Roses Derby’.
