Tottenham Hotspur's Kyle Walker-Peters, manager Mauricio Pochettino and Ben Davies celebrate after the UEFA Champions League quarter final second leg match at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester.

Despite managing to get wins over PSG and Leipzig in the Champions League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has some serious pressure on his shoulders once more, especially following last night’s defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir away from home.

A lack of leadership in the team has been pointed out by pundits and fans time and time again. Furthermore, it now seems that the Norwegian’s tactics are not working out either.

United played a diamond midfield with two frontmen leading the line and were punished for their mistakes dearly by the opposition.

Moving away from their performances in Europe, United have been struggling to make a mark in the Premier League. The club has not won a single game at Old Trafford and endured a 6-1 loss against Spurs at home as well.

The board, apparently, are deciding to make a change in manager soon. The fate of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future as manager of his former playing club rests on the heavyweight clash against Everton this matchday.

Their recent form sends them into the match as underdogs despite historically being one of the most decorated teams in the country.

The club’s representatives have been in contact with Mauricio Pochettino, who recently took the opportunity to express how much he missed having a team to coach.

The former Spurs coach will be a great man to lead the Manchester based team given his work in London.

United are currently 15th in the Premier League and Champions League qualification no doubt looks difficult for the boys in red this season, especially if they don’t manage to run it around.

The Argentinian is without a doubt one of the best coaches out there who does not already have a club to prepare. Should the former Spurs manager find himself managing the Red Devils soon, United vs Spurs matches will have an extra level of spiciness to them.
