Manchester United are considering a transfer for Real Betis star Nabil Fekir in the summer. Following injuries to Donny Van de Beek and Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes is the only player that can play the attacking midfield position.
And to give him rest amidst the hectic schedule, Erik Ten Hag has been forced to deploy Wout Weghorst and even Jadon Sancho in that position to cover for the Portugal international.
Nabil Fekir one of the options for Manchester United in the summer
The 29-year-old has attracted a lot of interest from the Premier League, with the likes of Newcastle United and Leicester City also keeping tabs on him. But, a transfer has not yet materialised for the player.
He has the ability to play out wide as well, but has been used through the middle to great effect in recent times. Nabil Fekir has scored six goals and provided three assists in 19 games across all competitions this season.
With van de Beek expected to leave the club in the summer, Manchester United will need a new attacking midfielder. And Fekir could prove to be a very good signing if they can agree a reasonable price for the veteran. As things stand, Real Betis are anticipating a price tag in the region of €30 million.
He has a contract with the La Liga side until June 2026, and Real Betis are in no need to sell as a result. And for this reason, the price tag could also be pushed to the €30 million mark for the talisman.
