Manchester United have appointed a new technical director, recruiting Jason Wilcox from Southampton. Wilcox will be joining the club immediately and is the latest arrival for the club in their rebuild under INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Man Utd chief executive Omar Berrada knows Wilcox well from their time at Manchester City, and albeit reluctantly, Wilcox has resigned from his post with the Saints and joined the Red Devils to steer them in the right direction.

The club is also expected to appoint Dan Ashworth as their new sporting director from Newcastle United. Talks have been going on for months, and he is expected to make the move soon. However, the structure being established first will only benefit the rest.
With the club undergoing an overhaul, we can only speculate what it’ll mean for their results on the pitch. Moreover, thought also has to be given to whether Erik Ten Hag will remain at the club if Manchester United finish outside the top seven this season.
