Manchester City won't sell Eric Garcia for less than €20m, rejects Barça's €17m bid

via Daily Mail

The Spanish defender has been the center of interest for quite sometime now as Barcelona tussles with Manchester City. The Bluagranas are in desperate need to strengthen their backline and their La Masia graduate is the perfect candidate.

However, the English club, who have already signed two new center backs in the form of Ruben Dias and Nathan Aké, is firm on its demand to sell Eric Garcia for not less than €20m. This is ridiculous for the club as they know if Barcelona, however, rejects than they have to sell Garcia for free next summer.

Manchester City sources say they’re *not* going to accept €17m bid [add ons included] for Eric Garcia from Barcelona. €20m or he’s gonna stay. 🔵 #MCFC #Barcelona #DeadlineDay

Manchester City have looked weak in their defense this season already and the club does seem interested to oppotunitize the need of Barcelona. Eric Garcia is the perfect candidate for Barcelona because he knows how to play the Barcelona style of football and under Pep too, the player has learnt a lot.

It will be interesting to see how the transfer deadline ends as there are some hours left only and if Barcelona ultimately becomes successful to land the Spanish to Barcelona.
