Manchester City are not willing to give up their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane just yet.
According to renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Champions of England are preparing a new bid worth €150 million for Kane should Spurs change their mind.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has been asked several times about the future of their number 10, and he has insisted that Kane’s future lies at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, reports have suggested that Kane would want Champions League football on a regular basis, instead of playing in the Europa Conference League.
The London club have not received any new bid from any club yet, and Manchester City plan on being ready and waiting for Spurs to change their stance on their star man. They have already spent over €120 million this summer on Jack Grealish and Brazilian winger Kayky. City will not hold back to smash their transfer record for the second time in the same window.
Speculation began about the player’s future around the end of the 20/21 season, and was further fuelled by him missing the first few days of training with the club. Despite rumours of him trying to force a transfer, Kane clarified that he intended on being professional and would rejoin training imminently.
Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo has also commented that Kane will be available for their Premier League opener against Manchester City, and it seems like we will have to wait till the end of the transfer window to learn the end of the Kane transfer saga.
