Manchester City take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League tonight, in what is set to be the most expensive match in football history. The two teams are notorious for spending crazy amounts of money on players, and boast of having two of the best squads in the competition.

The Premier League champions have a team worth €1.005 billion, while their opponents fall short of the valuation at €997.25 million. The two teams have a combined value of around €2 billion Euros. Some of the best players in the world will be facing off against each other this season, like they did in the knockout stages last year.

He’s one of the best goalkeepers in the world and will finally play in the best competition. 🧤🇪🇺 [#UCL](https://twitter.com/hashtag/UCL?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) [#PSG](https://twitter.com/hashtag/PSG?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)

Lionel Messi was the signing of the summer for PSG, and they also have Achraf Hakimi, Gigio Donnarumma and Gini Wijnaldum to choose from. Mainstays Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Marquinhos will also be in contention for a starting place tonight. Whether or not Messi will start the game tonight is yet to be determined since he is recovering from an injury.

Manchester City, on the other hand, are fresh off of a win against Chelsea, and will be looking to continue their momentum. Pep Guardiola has the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, Ederson and their most expensive signing ever, Jack Grealish at his disposal.

The first encounter between the two teams will take place at the Parc de Princes tonight, and the other game will be hosted at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
