Barcelona have officially announced the arrival of Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer, after his contract with Manchester City expires. The midfielder has agreed a deal until 2025 with the option to extend until 2026.

In addition to Barcelona, Gundogan had received an offer from Arsenal and Saudi Arabia as well. However, the 32-year-old has chosen to move to Spain in what could be the final chapter of his career.

City have agreed a deal with RB Leipzig for their star centre-back Josko Gvardiol. The Bundesliga club want the Croatian to be the most expensive centre-back of all-time, and are sticking to their asking price in the region of €100 million.

While the transfer fee has not been revealed as of yet, the player has completed the medical for the move and an official announcement will soon follow.

Manchester City have officially announced the arrival of Mateo Kovacic on a transfer from Chelsea.

The two clubs have reached an agreement over a £25 million plus £5 million fee for the transfer of the midfielder. The Croatian is likely to replace Gundogan in the team, after the veteran’s move to Barcelona. He will be wearing the number 8 shirt at his new club, which previously belonged to the German.

Kovacic’s departure comes as part of a mass clearout at Chelsea, with more than 13 players expected to leave by the time the new season comes around.

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, there is a possibility of Aymeric Laporte departing Manchester City during the upcoming summer transfer window. The French centre-back has experienced limited playing time under the management of Pep Guardiola this season, featuring in just seven Premier League matches and accumulating a total of 1219 minutes across all competitions.

Man City transfer news: Maximo Perrone to sign for Manchester City imminently

Manchester City have finalized the acquisition of Máximo Perrone from Velez Sarsfield in Argentina. The transfer fee for the talented player is believed to be approximately €11 million, slightly exceeding his release clause of €8 million.

All the necessary procedures and paperwork for the transfer have been successfully completed.
