Manchester City are preparing to renew Phil Foden’s contract in the coming months, with the club hopeful of reaching a verbal agreement soon. They are planning to renew his deal until June 2027, adding three years to his current deal with the club.

Pep Guardiola is determined to keep the youngster at the Etihad, and considers him to be one of the faces of the project. He has been very vocal about his praise for the attacking midfielder, and could help turn him into one of the best players in the Premier League in the coming years.

City are working to wrap up the contract negotiations as soon as possible, considering the importance of the player. He has a market value of €90 million, and Manchester City have no interest in letting the player leave any time soon.

The 21-year-old has shown his versatility on several occasions throughout the season. He is naturally a midfielder, but has been deployed on the wings, and has also been used as a centre forward in some games.

Having graduated from the City academy, Phil Foden has become a first team regular under Guardiola. This season, he has made 40 appearances across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing 9 assists. He has also earned 15 caps for the England national team, and is expected to be a vital part of their future.
