Manchester City failed to defend their Premier League title this season and were way behind winners Liverpool. One of the main reasons for Manchester City’s failure has been their defending. Laporte was injured for the first part of the season which caused City several problems.

City wanted to sign a defender since last season. They went for Harry Maguire but he signed for Manchester United instead. Now, City has turned their heads towards Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake.
