Manchester United are working on a loan deal with an obligation to buy for Manuel Ugarte of PSG. The Uruguayan has been a subject of interest for the Red Devils for weeks, and the two clubs are in discussions to finalise the transfer soon.
Ugarte joined the Parisians just last summer from Sporting in a deal worth around €60 million after a lengthy battle with Chelsea. However, he could be on the move over the coming days after the arrival of Joao Mendes from Benfica, who plays a similar role.

The Uruguay international made 37 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions, and could be the perfect replacement for Casemiro. While the Brazilian isn’t getting any younger, Manuel Ugarte has a similar profile and has time on his side, aged 23.
United have not been beating around the bush in the transfer market this year. They have already signed Joshua Zirkzee, Matthijs De Ligt, Leny Yoro and Noussair Mazraoui to bolster their squad. And soon, Ugarte could join them to reinforce their defensive midfield position.
Personal terms have been agreed between the player and the Premier League club. Now, it remains to be seen how the two sides work out the formula for the payment.
