The second Malaysia Esports Championship 2020/2021 (MEC) began on December
14, 2021 with a total of 4,871 players currently registered. Esports
Integrated (ESI) continues its efforts to build strategic partnerships with
industry players to provide opportunities for the local gaming community and
grow the thriving scene in Malaysia.

Through ESI’s partnership with gaming studio Moonton, the top 2 teams from
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) would earn a seat slot into Mobile Legends:
Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Season 9 Top 8 Qualifiers.

In addition, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile (PUBG Mobile) teams will
compete through 3 phases of qualifying competitions during MEC 2021/2022,
which the champion will automatically go through into PUBG Mobile
Professional League (PMPL) Season 5 Qualifier Finals.
