There are celebrity interviews, and then there are moments that feel genuinely human. Bobby Deol’s appearance on **Shekhar Tonite** is firmly in the second category — raw, emotional, and impossible to forget.

The second episode of Shekhar Suman’s acclaimed long-form talk show [Shekhar Tonite](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shekhar_Suman) features the *Animal* star in a conversation that goes far beyond box office numbers and film roles. What unfolds is a deeply personal tribute to his father, the legendary [Dharmendra](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dharmendra) — and it’s the kind of television that reminds you why storytelling matters.

## **The Moment That Broke Everyone**

When Shekhar Suman asked Bobby about his father, the actor didn’t hold back. With tears barely contained, Bobby spoke about the void left behind by Dharmendra — not just for the family, but for the entire world that loved him.

He described his father as someone the whole world showered with love, and whose passing brought grief not just to his family but to everyone around him. His words — quiet, unscripted, and deeply felt — carried a weight that no screenplay could replicate.

And when asked what one thing he would always remember about Dharam ji, Bobby’s answer was both heartbreaking and beautiful: every single thing about his father was precious, he said — even his anger was love.

But perhaps the most powerful moment came when Shekhar playfully asked whether he had arrived as Vijay Singh Deol, Bobby Deol, Baba Deol, or the internet’s favourite “Lord Bobby.”

Bobby’s reply? Simple. Grounding. Unforgettable:

**“Main Dharmendra ka beta hoon.”**

Four words. An entire identity. A son’s tribute that said more than any award speech ever could.

## **Why Shekhar Tonite Is Different?**

After a standout premiere featuring Nitin Gadkari, Shekhar Tonite has quickly established itself as something the Indian entertainment landscape rarely sees — a talk show where guests are genuinely allowed to be human.

Created by **Adhyayan Suman** and produced by **Dharmesh Sangani**, the show doesn’t chase viral moments. It creates them — organically, through honesty and unhurried conversation. Whether it’s politics, cinema, grief, or legacy, Shekhar Tonite gives its guests the space to speak from the heart.

For Bobby Deol, a man who has quietly rebuilt his career into one of Bollywood’s most celebrated comebacks post *Animal*, this episode wasn’t about proving anything. It was about remembering someone irreplaceable — and doing so with the same understated grace that defines him.
