Mahindra Bolero sales in FY23 exceeded 1 lakh units

The popular SUV, the Bolero, has sold more than 100,000 units, according to a statement made by Mahindra & Mahindra on April 24. This is a big milestone for the vehicle. Over 14 lakh SUVs have been sold throughout the nation by the corporation since the SUV’s original launch in 2000.

The Mahindra Bolero has continually been among the best-selling SUVs despite its age and is still a popular option. Particularly in semi-urban and rural areas of India, where it is immensely favoured, its tough build, all-metal body, and go-anywhere appeal have helped to add to its popularity. Due to its basic engineering, it is simple to maintain and has readily accessible, reasonably priced spare parts.

According to the manufacturer, the Bolero Neo was the primary factor in FY23’s 1 lakh sales milestone. The corporation claims that the SUV has been successful in breaking into new markets and luring new client segments. The Bolero Neo, which has long been one of the company’s most well-liked vehicles, has surpassed models like the Scorpio and XUV700 in recent sales to become the brand’s best-selling vehicle.

The Bolero is used by private citizens and trusted by numerous governmental and police enforcement organizations in the nation, according to the manufacturer. Due to its tough design, it has been utilized by paramilitary, armed, and police groups. Recently, Mahindra announced a price increase, raising the price of the traditional Bolero and Bolero Neo by up to ₹31,000. The Bolero Neo is priced at ₹9.63 lakhs, while the Bolero starts at ₹9.78 lakhs.

The Classic and Neo are the two variants available for the 7-seat Mahindra Bolero. A manual gearbox is available for both versions. A 1.5-litre mHawk75 diesel engine, generating 75 horsepower and 210 Nm of maximum torque, powers the Classic Bolero. The Bolero Neo, on the other hand, has a mHawk100 engine with 100 horsepower of power and 260 Nm of maximum torque.
