The excitement surrounding Disney’s upcoming release, Mufasa: The Lion King, just got even more thrilling for Indian fans. After the announcement of Shah Rukh Khan lending his voice to Mufasa in the Hindi version, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu has now joined the project.

Mahesh Babu will bring the legendary character of Mufasa to life in the Telugu version of the film, making it an experience to remember for audiences across India.

Mahesh Babu’s Connection to Mufasa

Mahesh Babu’s involvement in the project is more than just a professional milestone; it’s a personal triumph as well. The actor, known for his deep connection to his family, expressed his admiration for Disney’s storytelling legacy. In his statement, he shared how the character of Mufasa resonates with him on a personal level. “I have always admired Disney’s blockbuster legacy of entertainment and timeless storytelling; the character of Mufasa appeals to me not only as a loving father guiding his son but as the supreme king of the jungle taking care of his clan,” Mahesh Babu stated.

For Mahesh, this project is a unique opportunity to create lasting memories with his children. He emphasized that this collaboration with Disney is special to him because it’s something he can share with his family. “My family means everything to me, and this collaboration with Disney is personally very special as it is an experience I will cherish with my children!” he added.

Telugu Star-Studded Voice Cast

The Telugu version of Mufasa: The Lion King promises to be a star-studded affair. Besides Mahesh Babu voicing Mufasa, the film will also feature popular actors Brahmanandam and Ali lending their voices to the beloved characters Pumbaa and Timon, respectively. This iconic duo will bring their signature humor and charisma to the roles, adding a distinct Telugu flavor to the film.

The anticipation for the Telugu version is already building, with the trailer set to release on August 26 at 11:07 AM. Fans are eager to see how these beloved actors will bring the characters to life in a way that resonates with Telugu audiences.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Return as Mufasa

On the Hindi front, Shah Rukh Khan returns to voice Mufasa, bringing with him the charm and gravitas that the character demands. Shah Rukh, who previously voiced Mufasa in the Hindi version of 2019’s The Lion King, will be joined by his sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan in this latest adaptation. Aryan will reprise his role as Simba, while AbRam makes his voice debut as young Mufasa.

This familial collaboration adds an extra layer of excitement for fans of Shah Rukh Khan, as they look forward to hearing the Khan family bring the Pride Lands to life once again.

The Legend of Mufasa

Mufasa: The Lion King is set to delve deep into the origins of one of Disney’s most iconic characters. The film, directed by Barry Jenkins, will explore the journey of Mufasa from an orphaned cub to the king of the Pride Lands. Mahesh Babu and Shah Rukh Khan’s Recent Projects

While fans eagerly await the release of Mufasa: The Lion King, both Mahesh Babu and Shah Rukh Khan have kept busy with their respective projects. Mahesh Babu was last seen in the commercial hit Guntur Kaaram, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, and is currently gearing up for SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film, tentatively titled SSMB29. The movie has already generated significant buzz, with fans excited to see Mahesh Babu in yet another powerful role.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan, after a successful year with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, is set to star in Sujoy Ghosh’s King. Rumors are swirling that his daughter Suhana Khan might also be part of the film, making it another family affair for the Khan household.
