At last, Netflix provides some confirmation about the animation series. It was the first time announced in June 2019 and after that, we have been waited for over two years to know about the first details of the upcoming animated series. It also has announced the first cast member of the series with the latest updates of the production.
We will like to inform you that Magic: The Gathering animated series is an upcoming Netflix Original animated series that has set the whole world at the top of the table card game having the exact name. This series is actually produced by the director of Avengers Endgame the Russo Brothers but it is very sad that they have since left the project.

The series has been created by Richard Garfield. At first, it was released in 1993 as the famous tabletop card game which got popularity in the history of just 28 years. After producing thousands upon thousands of cards this franchise is going to spawn comic books, a bestselling novel, and it is also based on the e-sports of the popular digital game arena.
This series is also available in 70 countries and has also become published in 11 languages and still counting. It has been considered that this franchise has got over 38 million fans with its name to have the expectation that the series will be got huge popularity.
Netflix still does not reveal any official details of this series but they have revealed the cast information. It is expected that this series will more focus on the adventures of Gatewatch which is the group of the multiverse’s extremely strong planeswalkers who can protect the entire world from harm.

It has been informed that Brandon Routh the former Arowvese and the actor of the Superman Returns will play the voice of Gideon Jura. In this powerful Hieromancer, the ability of Gideon will allow him to utilize all his protective powers by ordering or you can say suppressing the abilities of the others. Gideon is also the co-founder of Gatewatch that is a coalition in between the fellow planeswalkers who are trying to protect the entire multiverse from the threats of ending the world.
This series is also included with some other members like Jace Beleren, Chandra Nalaar, Nissa Revane, Lilina Vess, Ajani Goldmane, Teferi, Kaya.
Magic: The Gathering: Production Status
Recently, it has been announced that Brandon Routh will feature as Gideon Jura. The official IMDB Pro page has now changed the pre-production to filming.
Netflix also has revealed some visual concepts and 3-D character models s which have been revealed by Netflix. The project animation has been handled by Allspark Animation and Bardel Entertainment. It is informed that Octopie will also have set to work on the project.
Magic: The Gathering: Release Date
Netflix has not revealed any exact date to release the series. It has been scheduled to release in 2022.
