Lyon have agreed the signing of Nicolas Tagliafico from Ajax, with the player agreeing a contract until 2025. The Argentine has finally left the Eredivisie champions, despite links to top clubs like Chelsea and Barcelona over the last few years.

He has agreed a net salary worth €2.5 million per season, which could go up to €3 million including add-ons. The medical for the transfer is set to be completed today, and the player will be announced as a new signing for the Ligue 1 club shortly after.

The French side will pay Ajax a sum worth €4 million for the left-back. With the World Cup coming up later this year, Nicolas Tagliafico will be keen on getting regular game time under his belt so that he can make it to the national team.

Ajax have signed Owen Wijndal as the replacement for Tagliafico. The talented youngster has signed a contract until 2027, and has already completed his move to the Eredivisie champions.

Ajax have also agreed the signings of Brian Brobbey from RB Leipzig, and Francisco Conceicao. Both the deals are set to be made official imminently. The Dutch side have also had several outgoings this summer, with Lisandro Martinez heading to Manchester United. Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch have joined Bayern Munich, while Sebastian Haller has joined Borussia Dortmund.
