Should the player leave for Inter Miami, Gremio will not receive any transfer fee as he would be without a contract. The signing of the Uruguayan has been beneficial to the club, which has seen the number of members rise to an all-time high figure of 113,000.
The striker has scored 16 goals and provided nine assists in 32 games, in spite of having minor fitness issues. His leadership from the front has been crucial in their success, with the club currently third in the Brazilian Serie A.
