Lucas Vazquez is set to renew his contract with Real Madrid for one more season, extending his stay until 2025. The Spaniard has been played at right-back even though he was previously a winger, and has excelled while filling in for Dani Carvajal.
Now, he is set to renew his contract till 2025, just like Luka Modric. Only the final details need to be sorted out, after which he will sign the deal formally to keep him at the club for his ninth season in a row.

The 32-year-old came up through the Castilla academy, and only spent the 14/15 season with Espanyol. Apart from that one season, he has been with Los Blancos throughout his career, with the position change coming in Zinedine Zidane’s second spell in charge.
Lucas Vazquez has won five Champions League titles with Real Madrid, alongside four LaLiga titles and one Copa del Rey. While he isn’t one of the stars of the team, his contributions have been vital to the club’s success in an injury-ridden season.
This season, Vazquez has made 38 appearances across all competitions, rotating alongside Carvajal, and scoring three goals while providing eight assists.
