This strategic move gives the star-studded film featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal a prime holiday slot for box office dominance.

## Why the Date Shift Matters

Initially announced for Eid 2026 (March 20), the film has been pushed back due to production delays, with approximately 75 days of shooting still remaining. The Independence Day release is actually brilliant timing—set against a war backdrop, this national holiday gives the film an extended theatrical run and perfect thematic alignment.

The postponement also avoids a massive box office clash with Yash’s *Toxic*, which retained its Eid 2026 slot. Industry insiders are calling it “a blessing in disguise” as both pan-Indian films now have breathing room to succeed.
