A quirky romance with a supernatural twist just added another layer of intrigue. **Love in Sync**, the new K-drama starring Kim Myung Soo and Kang Min Ah, premieres July 4 — and its leads share more history than viewers first realized.

## What’s Love in Sync About?

The series follows Cha Eun Hwan (Kim Myung Soo), a renowned psychological counselor who carries other people’s emotions too heavily, and Yoo Ji An (Kang Min Ah), a top star criticized for lacking empathy. When a strange phenomenon called “emotional transference” links their feelings together, the two are forced into an unexpected partnership that reshapes both their lives. According to [Wikipedia’s entry on the series](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_in_Sync), someone from Cha Eun Hwan’s past resurfaces just as his emotional balance begins to unravel, setting off the chain of events that draws the two leads together.

## Why the Past Connection Matters

Yoo Ji An isn’t just any client who walks into Cha Eun Hwan’s office — she turns out to be someone tied to his past, adding emotional weight to what initially seems like a simple counselor-client dynamic. Their history complicates an already tangled web of relationships, including a rekindled rivalry between Yoo Ji An and her former bandmate-turned-rival Han Yi Jin (Kwon So Hyun), who also has ties to Cha Eun Hwan as a former counseling client.

## Should You Watch It?

If you enjoy romantic comedies with a fantastical hook and layered character backstories, Love in Sync looks primed to deliver both heartfelt growth and dramatic tension. With its ensemble of intertwined relationships and a premise built on genuinely understanding another person’s emotions, it’s shaping up as one of the more distinctive rom-coms of the summer.
