Loki Season 2 OTT Release Date

Loki Season 2 OTT release date is October 6, 2023, and will premiere on Disney+. Michael Waldron, the head writer of the first season, signed a contract with Disney in January 2021, confirming his involvement in the second season. The announcement for Season 2 was made through a mid-credits scene in the finale of the first season, which was released in July 2021. Originally expected to debut in the Summer of 2023, the new season’s OTT release date has been updated.

The Plot of Loki Season 2

The Season 1 finale of Loki left many questions for Season 2. He Who Remains offered Loki and Sylvie two choices: kill him and unleash the multiverse or maintain the Sacred Timeline under the Time Variance Authority’s control. Sylvie chose to slay him, resulting in the timeline splintering into 63 new branches. Tom Hiddleston hinted that Season 2 would focus on “the war for the soul of the TVA.”

The collapse of the Sacred Timeline had significant consequences. Loki finds himself in an alternate reality TVA where he is unrecognized. Helping this TVA will be a challenging task for him. The fate of TVA personnel, taken from their timelines and made to forget their past lives, remains to be explored in Season 2. Owen Wilson confirmed that Season 2 will delve deeper into Mobius’ backstory, potentially revealing his pre-TVA life.
