Liverpool have officially announced that Divock Origi will be leaving them upon the expiry of his contract in the coming days. The Belgian is a cult-hero for the fans, having delivered several big moments over the course of his time with them.

The most iconic of them all being his brace against Barcelona in Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final at Anfield. His goal from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s quickly taken corner helped the Merseyside club advance to the final, and eventually, lift the trophy for the sixth time.

The 27-year-old spent eight years with the Reds, scoring 41 goals in 175 appearances with them. He has been able to establish himself as a supersub during his time with the club, and is now expected to move to Italy.

AC Milan have agreed personal terms over a free transfer, and only the formalities need to be sorted out before the move is made official. Now that Liverpool have confirmed Divock Origi’s departure, the subsequent announcement from the Serie A champions should come soon.

Loris Karius, the former first-team goalkeeper, is also leaving the club this summer. He was never forgiven for his mistakes in the 2018 Champions League final, and has since spent time on loan. Upon the expiry of his contract in the coming days, he will be leaving the club as well. Liverpool are also expected to part ways with Sadio Mane this summer, and will be looking to replace him.
