Liverpool pick up huge win against Manchester City
Jurgen Klopp’s men became the ones to end Erling Haaland’s impressive scoring streak in the Premier League. The Norwegian was silenced for the majority of the game, and wasn’t able to find the back of the net this time.
The first 45 minutes showcased a cagey affair considering all the attacking talent that was on the pitch. The second half saw Ederson make an impressive low save to keep it 0-0, and eventually, they did find the back of the net. But, it was ruled out by VAR for a foul by Erling Haaland on Fabinho.
Diogo Jota missed a huge chance shortly after, but Mohamed Salah was eventually able to give Liverpool the lead in the game. And from then on, it was the home team sitting in their own half and City trying to break them down. However, it just wasn’t meant to be for Guardiola’s side.
The loss sees Arsenal go four points clear at the top of the table, while City are in second alongside Tottenham.
