Manchester United are expected to complete the signing of Lisandro Martinez in the coming hours. The Premier League club have agreed a transfer fee worth €50 million plus add-ons for the central defender, following an in-person meeting in Amsterdam

The player himself has been pushing to move to England, and the transfer could be finalised imminently. Personal terms have never been an issue between United and Martinez, with the prospect of a reunion with Erik Ten Hag making things even better.

Lisandro Martinez to join Manchester United very soon

After Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen, Martinez will be the third new signing for Manchester United this summer. The Argentine has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford for a long time, and will finally get what he wants in a matter of days.

Arsenal were also in the race to sign the centre-back, but he was always clear about his decision. Once the details of the payment have been discussed and finalised, the transfer will be given the green light. And upon the completion of the formalities, it will be officially announced by both clubs.

Alongside Lisandro Martinez, Manchester United are also interested in signing Antony. However, the Dutch side are keen to hold on to the Brazilian and will demand a huge fee to let go of him this summer. The deal for the winger is set to be discussed once the move for Martinez is completed.
