Messi reportedly rejected a deal worth nine figures to join the Saudi Club Al-Hilal. However, things don’t seem to be that bad with his new destination.

Next on the list is Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic and Golden State Warriors’ four-time NBA Champion Stephen Curry earning $54.5 million and $53.8 million, respectively.

In fifth place, there is Lionel Messi with an expected yearly salary of $53.7 million.

A new destination for the Argentine star

Besides Al-Hilal’s offer, the star forward was also expected to return to his former club, Barcelona. Fans had high hopes regarding the same, which were ultimately crushed by his decision to join David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
