According to renowned journalist David Ornstein, the MLS club have been in contact with Messi for a few years now. The player also owns property in Miami and the city is a source of attraction for his family.
Talks between the two parties are expected to continue after the 2022 World Cup. Ornstein adds that David Beckham’s side is optimistic about getting the deal done in the coming months.
Lionel Messi’s former club, Barcelona, are also keen on signing him from PSG next summer. Their president, Joan Laporta and economic vice president Eduard Romeu have publicly commented on arranging a return for the legend.
