Lionel Messi has signed for French giants Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer after he and Barcelona failed to negotiate a contract due to La Liga’s financial restrictions.

Messi has now paired up with his former Barcelona teammate Neymar and Mbappe and this front three would terrify any defence in the world. Everyone is waiting to catch a glimpse of MNM in action.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino said: “As for when we might see Leo Messi in action, it is his second day of training after a month since he played the last game at the Copa America. We will take things step by step, get to know each other, and have him feel fit and comfortable so that he is able to make his debut when he is fully fit.”

Messi came from vacation a bit late as he led his country Argentina to Copa America 2021 glory. His departure from Barcelona was also one of the reasons for him not having a regular pre-season. So it is taking some time for the Argentine to be fully ready to make his PSG debut.

PSG has already won the first 2 matches of their 2021-22 Ligue 1 campaign and will play against Brest on 21st August. However, Lionel Messi is still not expected to make his PSG debut this weekend.

Lionel Messi is all set to finally make his PSG debut on 29th August against Reims. He may not start the match but is expected to come on in the second half at least. However, right after his PSG debut, he will be back in action with Argentina in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifier matches against Venezuela, Brazil and Bolivia.
