[Paris Saint-Germain](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_Saint-Germain_F.C.), a distinguished French soccer team, stands as one of the most affluent institutions worldwide. Besides attracting high-profile players, the club’s substantial financial capabilities have also enabled them to offer generous salaries.

At one point, their squad consisted of extraordinary talents such as **Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe upfront, alongside Ramos, Marquinhos, Hakimi, and Donnarumma** in defence. Nevertheless, both [Messi](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionel_Messi) and [Ramos](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergio_Ramos)had departed from the club, and [Mbappe](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kylian_Mbapp%C3%A9) joined[Real Madrid](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_Madrid_CF).

## ***OFFICIAL: Ligue 1 is not among the top 5 leagues in the world anymore as the Belgium league has taken its place:***

However, it has now been made [official](https://www.uefa.com/nationalassociations/uefarankings/country/#/yr/2024)that the French league, [Ligue 1](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ligue_1) is not in the top 5 leagues in the world anymore. Netherlands’ league Eredivisie is in the 5th position followed by France’s Ligue 1 coming in the 6th position.

This means Neymar and Mbappe will not be playing in one of the best leagues around the world. They will be plying their trade outside the top 5 leagues in the world.
